SummaryWe propose to monitor the active crustal deformation around major active faults in Iran using high-resolution TS-X interferometry. We will use InSAR as a tool for measuring crustal deformation and constraining physical models to understand the origin of the deformation. This will help us to build a more realistic model of seismic hazard for Iran, taking rheological heterogeneities and relaxation processes into account.
