Summary

Objective
The aims of the proposed research are: i) a thorough assessment of the suitability of TerraSAR-X data for multi-temporal InSAR techniques; ii) to investigate the potentiality of the X-band to detect and monitor very-slow geophysical deformations and its limitations in application on un-urbanised areas; iii) to develop innovative algorithms for high resolution interferometric applications.


Deliverables
The expected outcome of the research activity consists of: 1) assessment reports on the overall suitability of TerraSAR-X mission for repeat-pass and multi-temporal InSAR applications; 2) reports on suitability of the potentiality of the X-band to detect and monitor very-slow geophysical deformations and its limitations in application on un-urbanised areas.


Funding Surce
ASI contract n. I/045/07/0 “MORFEO-Protezione Civile dalle frane”.
All the partners are involved in this project which is aimed at study the problem of slope instability through SAR technology and in particular with X-band sensors.
