TitleTerraSAR-X Polarimetric Data for Precision Agriculture in Southeastern Anatolia Project Region
Investigator Caner, Demirpolat - TÜBITAK UZAY Space Technologies Research Institute, Remote Sensing Group
Team Member
Senior Researcher Teke, Mustafa - TÜBİTAK UZAY Space Technologies Research Institute, Remote Sensing Group
Chief Researcher Sakarya, Ufuk - TÜBİTAK UZAY Space Technologies Research Institute, Remote Sensing Group
Prof.Dr. Bayramin, İlhami - Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ankara, Department of Soil Science
SummaryThe goal of this project is to evaluate the contribution of high-resolution X-band SAR data to crop classification, anomaly detection and crop yield estimation in a precision agriculture setup. Aerial hyperspectral data and satellite multispectral data will be fused with TerraSAR-X backscattering to increase accuracies. All data is required to be time-series. Ground truth such as crop classification maps, realized yields will be obtained with surveying over the related region. Funding for the aerial hyperspectral data, satellite multispectral data, surveying activities, employee salaries etc. will be provided by TUBİTAK Space Tech. Research Institute.
