TitleSmall scale loess landslide detection, monitoring and forecasting with high resolution SAR data

SummaryIn this proposal, we will mainly focus on both location and monitoring of active loess landslides in Heifangtai region, Gansu province. Owing to the high resolution and short revisit strip-mode TerraSAR-X data, we will select one small but typical loess landslides deformation region, i.e. Heifangtai region with its perimeter as long as 10 km. ALOS data have been tested with PS-InSAR technique, and some suspected landslides have been identified from 2007 to 2011. As for the active loess landslide detection, coherence map, deformation rate map and intensity change map will be considered. As far as the small scale loesslandslide deformation is concerned, we will investigate the following three InSAR methods: PS-InSAR, DS-InSAR and Temporal coherent point InSAR. Lastly, the correlation between land subsidence, underground water level uplift and landslide will be discussed to inverse the loess landslide mechanism.
