SummaryMonitoring the Ecological Environment of mining areas becomes increasingly important because of the large-scale exploitation of coal resources. TerraSAR-X data have higher resolution and shorter temporal baseline than other SAR data, which can monitor the Ecological Environment more accurately. This project aims to discover the objective law of vegetation changing and reveal the law of mining subsidence in the large-scale exploitation mining area. This project will be carried out in two parts: monitoring the surface subsidence caused by caving mining and monitoring the natural plants biomass and artificial plants biomass by the water-cloud model. By observing the vegetationís behave, the project expects to solve how the peopleís mining activities affect the nature. The mining depth and complicated hydrogeological conditions may accelerate the damage of vegetation. We want to obtain the relationship between mining and the vegetation.
