SummaryThe future products will be ordered as SSC products. These complex images aredecomposed into Kennaugh elements whichsubsequently are geocoded to a common reference frame (UTM or UPS). A fine calibrationtaking into account the local incidence angle mask follows. At this point the image can be processed as insgle acquisition or compared to another acqusition of the same area. In the latter case the differential Kennaugh elements are produced. For both variants the pyramidal multilooking searching for the optimal look factor for each part of the scene can help to supress radar inherent noise and thus, to stabilize the radiometric information without losing geometric accuracy. A final normalization step enables the data archiving and delivery as integer image products using the newly developed TANH-scaling. The geocoded images and image sequences are the basis for inestigating the seasonal change of rural landscapes regardless of the present landuse.
