SummaryThis project will use InSAR and SAR pixel offset tracking analysis of TerraSAR-X data to investigate the measurement of motion on the rapidly moving Slumgullion landslide. We will also compare the TerraSAR-X data with topographic elevation and elevation change measurements from a related TanDEM-X project over the landslide. The rapid deformation of the Slumgullion landslide (1-7 meters/year) makes this area an ideal natural laboratory for InSAR studies and pixel displacement of Earth topography and topographic change processes. A grant to fund this project has recently started under NASA’s Applications of Geodetic Imaging program.
