SummaryThis project is dedicated to the understanding of the tomographic focusing process by using a combination of SAR acquisitions and optical photographies. Our goal is to detect and characterize objects provided by SAR tomograms. The use of TSX images offer a great chance to conduct this experimentation thanks to its high spatial resolution. The choice of the Berlin region is guided by the proximity of our laboratory, where ground true measurements and building selection could be easily made. Using photogrammetry techniques, 3D models of selected buildings will be created and compared to generated tomograms. Many parameters, such as the variation of look angle (baseline distribution) and the number of data will be investigated in order to determine the importance and the role of the different scatterers present in the scene and responsible for the high reflectivity in tomograms.
