SummaryThe aim of the research activity is the study of surface subsidence in the Ravenna area (Northern Italy), due to gas extraction and its evolution over time. InSAR is particularly well suited in this case, covering large areas in comparison with the poor space coverage of ground-based geodetic networks (GPS, leveling), allowing to analyze also an extended time-span, if TSX SM data, available in the catalogue, can be provided to the Proposal. Data integration among all the available information for the study area (InSAR, cartographic and ground-based geodetic data, photogrammetric, LIDAR, etc.) will be therefore the key point to accomplish the result. InSAR data processing (ROI_PAC, SARscape, DORIS, STAMPS and SUBSOFT processor) will initially result in the production of single interferograms, to be afterwards used for estimating time-series of displacements. Funding for the research activity will be ensured by grants from an ongoing research project (PRIN - Programmi di ricerca di rilevante interesse nazionale “Tecniche geomatiche innovative ed emergenti di rilievo, telerilevamento - da aereo, satellite, UAV - e webgis per la mappatura del rischio in tempo reale e la prevenzione del danno ambientale”) at the University of Padua, Italy.
