SummaryEvery year the wide variety of natural disasters such as strong wind, ice on the wire, and the landslide caused the electrical towers to tilt even collapse in Sichuan province, China. This brought great losses for people. So the objective of the project is making warning before the electrical tower collapse by monitoring the deformation of the electrical tower in the real time. The phase change in the SAR image is sensitive to the deformation of the electrical towers, so we get the deformation of the electrical towers by high-resolution interferometric SAR images in this project. Because the electrical towers made of steel can be seen strong scatterers, we use PS-INSAR to get the deformation of object. Based on this, we need 25 star-spotlight SAR images(from February to November, the time span between two neighboring SARimages is 11 days, for repeat track interferometry). This project is funded by Research Institute of Electric Power of Sichuan. The deliverable is a method to get the deformation of the electrical towers effectively.
