SummaryThe objective of this proposal is to exploit the unprecedented geolocation accuracy of TerraSAR-X data forchange detection applications where there is a lack of reference frame. The initial applicationis focused on maritime scenarios. The goal will be to monitor offshore platforms and to makesure that they are stable and not suffer from any drift that may cause damageinto their sustaining system. Obviously, in this kind of scenario, where there is no land on the imagedscene, suffers from a lack of a reference frame. The accuracy of the displacement measurements depends on the resolutioncell of the employed data, it is because of this that the most suitable SAR data for this application isTerraSAR-X Staring Spotlight data.
